Online Apply for PIN Number of Malaysia Income Tax

Nowadays, online apply for PIN number is very convenient already, we no need to go the office and queue for a long time just because want to get the PIN number. However, for those people who just started want to use online tax system, need a detail guideline on how to apply for the PIN number and tax number. I hope the information below can help you apply the PIN number easier.

Step 1 : Register

Go to the https://ekl.hasil.gov.my/ to register first. 

Step 2 : Tax Number

Contact the income tax officer at 03-4289 3000 and request for your Tax number by providing the IC number. 

Then, she will ask you few questions like your house address, where you work etc to make sure you are the real owner of the tax number, they not allow you help other people to request the tax number.

Step 3 : PIN Number

Send email to request PIN number by providing the details below. You need to wait about 5 working days to get your PIN number.

To: pin@hasil.gov.my
Subject: Apply for Pin Number of Income Tax
 

i) Tax Number : XXXX
ii) Latest Home Address : XXXX
iii) Copy of Identification Card (front and back) : ATTACHED
iv) Phone Number : XXXX

Step 4 : Use PIN Number to Login 

After waiting few days and get your PIN number, go to https://e.hasil.gov.my/ and click First Time Login (Login Kali Pertama).

After login, change your password.

Then, you can start filing your tax form already.

Tips : 

1) You can change the website language from Malay to English or vice versa as shown below. 

2) Advise to tick "Yes" for Ketetapan Umum Dipatuhi (Public Ruling)
